With the tussle over profit sharing having reached a stalemate, and neither parties initiating any fresh talks, the stage seems to be set for the release of Vashu Bhagnani's Kal Kissne Dekha at single screens on May 29.
The film, which has been directed by Vivek Sharma, introduces Bhagnani's son Jackky and Manmohan Desai's grand neice Vaishali. The film, which has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 24 crore, will need to be a super duper hit, if it is to be able to recover its cost. According to certain sources, Bhagnani is being made the scapegoat as his film will be the first to release at the single screens. It will be remembered that someone like Aamir Khan had promised to even clean the toilets if he had to, to ensure that the public comes in to view Kal Kissne Dekha. Undoubtedly, it is a big risk that Bhagnani is taking, specially since he is launching his son. But it seems that the producer's confidence has been bolstered by his colleagues and he is sure of delivering a hit, despite the odds.
