Washington, Aug 10 (ANI): After postponing it a number of times, Brad Pitt finally showed up in a court in Los Angeles to perform jury duty on a DUI case.
Wearing a white T, jeans, and a newsboy cap, Pitt arrived at the court. Due to his celebrity status, the actor was allowed to park his chauffeured SUV in an underground employee lot before being escorted to the jury assembly room for orientation along with other would-be jurors
As he was sat reading a book that he had brought along, Usmagazine.com reports that he was interrupted by a woman who showed him a mag that declared his split from lady love Angelina Jolie, and asked, "Is this true?"
Pitt was then ushered to a private room, where he waited for the trial to begin.
However, the trial never happened because the defendant decided to take the state's deal.
Pitt's rep also denied to TMZ claims that court officials gave him an ultimatum to show up for jury duty.
"We have done everything by the book and all the extensions were obtained completely legally. There was no ultimatum from the court. He called in just like everyone else does and had to go!" the site quoted the rep, as saying. (ANI)
