Sanjay Dutt may have returned back to the filmi arena but this much is sure that Lady luck does not seem to be favouring his much these days. What else would account for his complete absence from Delhi where the all political games are being played put by Amar Singh. After all, he is the secretary general of the Samajwadi Party.
But it seems that every one of his actions in the political field have backfired on him. His desire to entire politics successfully and be seen as the rightful heir to his father's throne seems to have been dashed. His sister won her second election from the late Sunil Dutt's constituency while Sanju was disqualified from even standing for elections because of the cases against him. One of Sanju's biggest failing has been lack of sound judgement and the wrong kind of advisors. The decision to switch parties only so that he could be given a ticket to Parliament, does not really put him in the best of light. His public statements against his sister for retaining her maiden surname after marriage, has not really earned him any brownie points. So now he has come to point in his life where he is finished politically, even before starting. Also where his films are concerned, his last few films, EMI and Kidnap have failed at the box office. But to his credit, he does have some good films on hand which are awaiting release like, Aladin opposite Amitabh Bachchan, Lamhaa, Luck, Blue and All The Best. Let's hope that these films help to revive his acting career.
