London, August 10 (ANI): British actress Billie Piper was rushed to a specialist hospital on August 9 after reportedly being temporarily blinded.
The former Dr Who star was taken to London's Moorfields eye hospital by fiance Laurence Fox, a day after she took part in a professional photo shoot with a powerful camera.
The 24-year-old was unable to open her eyes in the morning after posing for pictures the day before.
Piper's eyes are believed to have reacted badly to a ringflash, an extremely powerful flash that fits around the front of a lens.
The hospital carried out checks on the actress, but Piper and Fox were later reassured that no permanent damage had occurred.
"She had to pull out of a few days filming for a new ITV show, Secret Diary Of A Callgirl," he Sun quoted a source, as saying. (ANI)
