New York, Aug. 10 (ANI): Security at the Heathrow Airport in London detained 'Apollo 13' star Ed Harris after they discovered a knife in his baggage.
The incident occurred minutes before the actor was to board an American Airlines flight to Los Angeles.
A representative for the star has confirmed that the report, but with insistence the Harris did not know the presence of knife in his bag.
"The knife was in his bag and he didn't realize it was there," the New York Daily News quoted Harris representative as telling the Daily Mirror.
"(The actor) was held for hours by police for trying to take a knife onto a plane," the New York Post quoted British tabloid The Sun as reporting.
A source said that Harris missed his flight due to the checking.
"He realized what he'd done was stupid," said the source. (ANI)
