Award winning filmmaker Lenin Rajendran is making a film on Raja Ravi Varma, one of the greatest painters in the history of Indian art. The 13th directional venture of the director will showcase the trials and tribulations of the great artist.
Raja Ravi Varma was popular for his depiction of scenes from the epics of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. The movie stars Suresh Gopi as Raja Ravi Varma; so Suresh will play a role different from his usual action-oriented roles.
The movie, to be shot in and around Mysore, Maharasthra and Kerala, is slated for release next year.
