Washington, Aug 13 (ANI): Jackie Chan starrer 'Rush Hour 3' has topped multiplex standings with a smooth 50.2 dollar million debut, as estimated by Exhibitor Relations Co.
The buddy-cop-action-comedy sequel was however a step down from 2001 'Rush Hour 2' which made 67.4 million dollars on hundreds of fewer screens during its opening weekend, E! online reported.
Matt Damon's 'The Bourne Ultimatum' dropped to second place on the weekend box office chart after a second-weekend ticket-sales drop of 51 percent with a 33.7 million dollar business this week.
'The Simpsons Movie' in its third weekend with a 11.1 million dollar earning worked its way down to third place while fantasy film 'Stardust' was at number four.
The Jane Austen romance, 'Becoming Jane' could make only 3 million dollars this week and couldn't move on into the Top 10.
