Washington, Aug. 13 (ANI): Rock star Sir Mick Jagger got impressed with one of his albums that he never released, while remixing his solo hits for a new 'Best Of' package.
Jagger and producer Rick Rubin recorded 'King King' with Los Angeles blues band 'The Red Devils' in a day during the sessions that became the 1992 album 'Wandering Spirit'.
However, Jagger decided not to release the album because he was not content with the end results, something that surprised Rubin.
The super producer urged Jagger to reconsider his decision in a recent interview.
"It's incredible, (but) it's up to Mick. He's the artist... he gets to do what he wants to do. But it's great, and I hope it comes out," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
It was during the remixing of his back catalogue for new album 'The Very Best of Mick Jagger' that the 'The Rolling Stones' frontman admitted that the 'King King' session had stood the test of time.
"The difficult decision I was faced with when listening to the tracks I recorded with The Red Devils, and having to choose only one, reminded me what a great band they were," he said. (ANI)
