Kareena Kapoor, who has been performing at the last two editions of the IIFA awards, will be missing from action this time. She will not be going to Macau where this year's IIFA function will be held. According to sources, the actress was supposed to learn belly dancing for an item number that she was to perform at the awards. But that has all changed now.

It seems that Kareena, who was to perform the Billu Barber number, "Marjani", was being paid quite an obscene amount of money for her performance but the organisers had not agreed to her demand for being either the first or the last performer. The honour of ringing down the curtains on the event belongs to Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of the event. In fact, the grand finale is likely to be a performance by the Bachchans, Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya. This didn't really go down well with Kareena and hence she decided to choose to be with Saif Ali Khan. It seems that Saif was originally supposed to take his maiden production, Love Aaj Kal to IIFA and hold a press conference for the international media but he backed out. Saif is now headed for England where the T20 World Cup is currently being held as Love Aaj Kal has a promotional tie up with the tournament. Kareena will now skip the awards and spend time with Saif
