Jayam Raja and Editor Mohan have successfully purchased the rights for the Telugu blockbuster Kick, and sources say the duo may cast Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the lead role.
Director Raja is back after almost a year and will soon start working on this film. His last hit Santhosh Subramaniam was released in 2008. Many industry bigwigs were hoping to get the rights for Kick, but Jayam Raja proved to be the lucky one.
When asked, he said he is very confident about the film's subject and it will surely go on to become a super-hit in Tamil. But many doubts have been raised, and according to sources close to Raja, he might just change his mind and cast Jayam Ravi (his brother) who is about to complete shooting for Peraanmai.
The finer details of the cast and crew have not been decided yet, but Raja hopes to strike it big with an exciting cast. In Kick, Kollywood actor Shaam played the role of a cop and might find a berth in the Tamil version too.
Kick has proved to be very lucky for all those who have been associated with it, including Ravi Teja and Shaam. Let us hope that the Tamil version is successful too!
