London, August 15 (ANI): Pop star Jamelia has ended her relationship with footballer boyfriend Darren Byfield.

The split has come after the 'Superstar' singer left Byfield's luxurious home in Kent last weekend and moved back to her family in Birmingham with her children.

"It's over and they are devastated. They tried to make it work but the romance fizzled out. She simply hasn't been happy since rumours of Darren cheating emerged, but has always believed he is innocent," the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

The couple have a 20-month-old daughter Tiani and Jamelia has Teja, six, from a previous relationship.

"Things have never been the same since the rumours in January. Jamelia was depressed and spent more and more time in Birmingham," the insider said.

A spokesman for the couple said that the split was amicable.

"Jamelia and Darren have sadly parted but it is an amicable split," the spokesman said. (ANI)
