Arjun Rampal began the year shooting for an Ad film with Oscar winning Australian actress Nicole Kidman in Udaipur, directed by Shekhar Kapur for producer Sir Ridley Scott. He was also one of the guests at Cannes.

John Abraham's loss was Arjun's gain after the former refused to play the male lead in the Indian version of Chris Columbus' Stepmom. To be produced under the Dharma Productions banner and will have Kajol and Kareena together once again after Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Arjun will also feature in Zee Motion Pictures' first Hindi production titled 'Fox', directed by Deepak Tijori and has Sagarika Ghatge and Udita Goswami in the female leads. Incidentally, Arjun and Sunny Deol come together for the first time in this film which is shot in Mumbai and exotic locations of Goa. Fox, a suspenseful thriller has Arjun playing a criminal lawyer. In Prakash Jha's 'Rajneeti', Arjun will be seen in a serious role of a politician where he dawns a completely different look than the one we have seen in the past. The strict and disciplined director made him live, breathe and dream his character.
