Washington, August 16 (ANI): Veteran singer/songwriter Billy Joel has expressed his doubts over his former wife Christie Brinkley's alleged relationship with Sir Paul McCartney.
Reports that Brinkley was dating the former Beatle started circulating after the two were spotted socialising at the Hamptons in New York over the weekend.
But Joel has conveyed his suspicion on the rumours, saying that it's more likely the pair were just hanging out as friends.
"I know Paul from a long time ago... many, many years ago. We knew Linda and Paul and their kids. So, he's actually an old friend," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
"I think she (Christie) knows him from the same way I know him. They're just old friends," he added. (ANI)
