The strike may be over but the damage that it did is quite irreparable. One of those who has been affected by the strike has been producer Sajid Nadiadwala. He may not be a big loser in actual terms but there is no doubt that his grandiose plans for the premiere of his forthcoming film Kambakkht Ishq have been dealt a slight blow.
The producer's plans have received a dent as Hollywood biggies like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh will not be able to make to Mumbai for the movie's premiere. The film features all three and Nadiadwala's original plan was to hold the premiere on May 29. But due to the strike, the release of this Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer had to be stalled. Now that the strike is over, Nadiadwala is finally gearing up to releasing his film this Friday. But his Hollywood cast will not be able to join him because of this change in dates. Initially, Nadiadwala was unsure of when the film was releasing so there was no commitment that he could take from his international stars. With their hectic schedules, it was not expected to be an easy job to coordinate everybody's dates. And in the end, the film will be released this Friday with none of the international stars being able to make it for the premiere. But one thing is sure, if the film sets the cash registers at the box office ringing, Nadiadwala would have forgotten all the 'could haves' and will be hatching another plan to celebrate its success.
