Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is known for charitable and philanthropic acts. The lady has been closely associated with several charity ventures in the past including Parmeshwar Godrej’s Heroes Project.
It is also well known that Shilpa started her own charitable trust under the name Shilpa Shetty Foundation. Speaking about her foundation, she said,
“The Shilpa Shetty Foundation will mainly work in two areas - let there be light - where we will be lighting up villages. The second area will be helping the needy and supporting the girl child.”
The foundation was started a few years ago but was revived recently with the help of Shilpa’s fiancé Raj Kundra, industry sources say.
