SJ Suryah is like a wounded tiger. Before he takes his next leap, he is taking great care about the story and character and his next project 'Vil' took off recently.
SJ Suryah made his debut as director with 'Vali.' It was produced by Nik Arts Chakravarthi. Suryah was supposed to act in a film for Chakravarthi, with story, screenplay, dialogue and direction by Prabakar. Going with Suryah's sentiment for a 2 alphabet title, the film has also been titled 'Vil.'
At that time, two films starring Suryah flopped. Chakravarthi also did not have money for the film. The film started floundering from the beginning itself, but both of them are gamely starting the project together.
SJ Suryah is convinced that 'Vil' will do well. His confidence is based on the fact that Chakravarthi's 'Vali', 'Villain' and 'Varalaaru' were all hits. And in all 3, Ajith plays a disabled person. In 'Vil,' SJ Suryah plays a character with one arm and leg not in use.
It worked out for Ajith, but will it work out for Suryah? Instaed of depending on sentiment, it would be better to concentrate on the quality of the film!
