'Shivaji' made its debut at the No 1 position in Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The film has made comfortable profits for everybody and the film industry is now wondering what Rajinikanth's next film is going to be.
Meanwhile, 'Chandramukhi', the film that was inspired by 'Apthamithra' (which was "inspired" by 'Manichitrathaaz') is still continuing to perform well in Chennai. A theatre in the city will soon be completing 1000 days of screening the film. A huge function is going to be organized to mark the occasion.
P Vasu, the film's director made a surprise announcement- that he is more than willing to make a sequel to 'Chandramukhi' if Rajini is willing to star in it.
The director recently made a film with his son in the lead role. This was a love story and going by the initial reports, the film leaves a lot to be desired.
Question is – will the director be able to think up a brilliant story to impress Rajini? Talks are on that the superstar has accepted an offer to work in K Balachander's banner.
