Its raining film festivals for the Ketan Gohil Productions' short film REWIND. REWIND has been selected in the competition section of the Milano International Film Festival and will have its Italian premiere in Milan, Italy. The Milano Film Festival is the second most important film festival in Italy after Venice.REWIND had a successful premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland on August 5, 2007. It had three screenings in Locarno which were attended by more than a thousand people.
On 27th August 2007, the film will have its North American premiere in the competition section at the Academy award nominated Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, USA.
Post which REWIND will screen in the 'Focus on World Cinema' section at the Montreal World Film Festival, Canada for the Canadian premiere between 23 August- 3 September 2007. This will be followed by a screening at another academy award nominated festival, the Los Angeles International Short film festival, USA on 11th September 2007 in the competition section.
The film will then travel to Milan in Italy at the Milano International Film Festival, where it will be screened three times between 14-23 September 2007 in the competition section.
Ketan Gohil Productions in association with glamsham.com have also launched the website of the film REWIND (www.rewindthefilm.com). One can see the trailer/teaser of the film as well as access other information about the film on the website.
The film REWIND recounts backwards, the last moments of three friends who are betting their lives and a million dollars on a game of Russian roulette. It is produced by Ketan Gohil Productions and directed by FTII trained director Atul Taishete. Both Ketan Gohil and Atul Taishete have been business school graduates and batchmates from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. REWIND is their first joint effort.
