Isha Koppikar's career had begun on a high, having won the Filmfare Best Female Debutant award for the Tamil film KAADHAL KAVIDAI. The Marathi beauty then went on to act in many Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films. In Hindi films she was mostly seen playing second fiddle to other leading actresses. However it was with Rajshri's EK VIVAAH...AISA BHI that she really got her first (major) solo break as an actress and she shed her glamorous item girl image successfully. Isha was really appreciated for her portrayal of a strong, sacrificing girl who supports her family through thick and thin, a role made iconic by Rakhee in TAPASYA.However, since then Isha seems to have simply vanished from the scene and rumour mills are ripe that its marriage to boyfriend Timmy Narang that has made Isha stop signing films. Well, Isha is quick to jump to her husband's defense saying that her hubby has no objections to her doing films, and on the contrary, he is happy to see her on-screen and it was she who made a conscious decision not to do insignificant roles. In future she has decided to sign only those films that she finds challenging. She also added that she is receiving offers everyday but nothing that is exciting enough. Although at present she is busy shooting and dubbing for films that she had signed before her marriage and they are HELLO DARLING and RIGHT YA WRONG and is eagerly awaiting the release of SHABRI and HAR PAL.
