DON incorporated songs from the original ('Khaike Paan', 'Ye Mera Dil') while RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG merely got inspired from SHOLAY for it's 'Mehbooba' track. Now VICTORIA NO. 203 has used at least a couple of songs from the original 70s comic caper.While evergreen 'Do Bichare Bina Sahare' was the first to arrive on the small screen, the weekend gone by also saw kick start in promotion for the song of seduction 'Thoda Sa Thehro'.
The only difference here being that for 'Do Bichare Bina Sahare', Om Puri and Anupam Kher come in for Ashok Kumar and Pran whereas Jimmy Sheirgill and newcomer Sonia Mehra (daughter of Late Vinod Mehra) replace Navin Nishchol and Saira Banu in 'Thoda Sa Thehro'.
While the original soundtrack in VICTORIA NO. 203 was created by Kalyanji Anandji, Viju Shah has been roped in for the remake. Produced by Kamal Sadanah who plays a villain in the film, VICTORIA NO. 203 also stars Javed Jaffrey and Preeti Jhangiani. Directed by Anant Mahadevan, the film is confirmed for August 31st release.
