Vishal the tall dark hero is creating waves in Kollywood with his incessant hits. As a result, distributors are competing with one another to purchase his films.

His current project Malaikottai with Priyamani directed by Boopathy Pandian is nearing completion where his character is said to have a comical streak which will be very different from the roles that he has played hitherto.

After Malaikottai, it will be his home production Sathyam where he is touted to play an encounter cop. It was also rumored that Vishal spent time with a leading encounter specialist to understand the body language and the minute details that goes with this profession.

As he has earned a huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh with his dubbed films, Sathyam will be shot in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Kollywood circles allege that a lavish budget of 18 crores for Sathyam has made Vishal overtake Ajith and Vijay (in this department) whose films till date has not gone so far as far as finances are concerned.
