Rumi Jaffrey's 'Life Partner', produced by Abbas Mustan, has Tusshar Kapoor cast opposite Prachi Desai, while Fardeen Khan is romantically cast opposite Genelia D'Souza. But that was not always so.
According to reports, actress Rimi Sen, who was quite impressive in the recently released 'Sankat City', had been cast opposite Tusshar and Prachi was yet to enter the scene. It is believed that Tusshar had already seen his cousin Abhishek Kapoor's 'Rock On' and was very impressed by her performance in the movie. Add to that, Prachi is his sister Ekta's protégé and good friend. That was more than enough for Tusshar to prevail upon the producers and the director to replace Rimi with Prachi. One of the reasons cited was that Rimi looked older than him. Anway, it seems that makers did come around to his way of thinking and Prachi was roped into the movie. So Rimi knows who she has to blame for losing out on a film. Not that she should blame him. After all, Tusshar has his sister to answer to once he goes home. Anyway, Rimi seems to have given one of her best performances in 'Sankat City'. The actress has a very good sense of comedy which was evident in films like 'Hungama'. As for Prachi, 'Life Partner' will be her second release after 'Rock On'!. It remains to be seen how she manages to perform in this movie. Incidentally, she is not the only one who was the second choice in the movie. It seems Fardeen Khan too came into the movie after Akshay Kumar expressed his inability to do the film due to date issues with Nagesh Kuknoor's '8x10 Tasveer'. All eyes will also be on Fardeen. However, the man who may just steal the show is likely to be Govinda, who plays a pivotal role in the movie.
