The shooting of 'Thiruvasagam' started with great fanfare and has now stopped abruptly.
Directed by P Rajamohan, a grand photo session for 'Thiruvasagam' was conducted. Usually photo sessions are done at studios, but for 'Thiruvasagam,' the photo shoot was done at great expense at the actual locations where the film would be shot. With such a great start, what happened to stall work?
Not one but many reasons. When the film started, the art director was Arokiyaraj. The cameraman was Sevilo Raja. In the publicity, the names of these two are missing and two other names featured instead. Since the producer and director have done this without informing him, Arokiyaraj has knocked on the doors of Art Directors Association for justice. All he asks reasonably is, "Pay me the dues for work already done and then start your film."
The film's designer has also been changed at will. So Lark Designs who designed the 'Thiruvasagam' title and posters are also in a bit of shock because someone else's name figures on their design! The money has also not been settled.
The controversy does not stop there. At the start of the film, the heroine was Poornitha. Now the heroine is Punitha! The director is sending messengers to assuage the feelings of those who have been replaced.
Hopefully 'Thiruvasagam' will not run into more controversies!
