London, Aug 22 (ANI): American actress Joan Collins might be the next 'blowsy barmaid' soap opera star.
The 74-year-old actress, who re-launched herself as a powerful sex symbol and icon of independence through 1981 - 1989 prime time TV soap opera 'Dynasty' is being encouraged by actor Rupert Everett to get a job in a UK soap opera.
It seems that the Golden Globe Award winning actress is considering the advice for she is tired of doing theatre.
"Having done five theatrical shows in the past six years, I told Rupert I was loath to do any more theatre for a while. 'But I've got a fantastic idea for you,' he said. 'You must get your agent to put you in Coronation Street or, better yet, EastEnders. Steady work but everyone will know you'," the Daily Express quoted Collins, as saying.
However, the actress was not totally convinced, as she could not figure herself as the 'blowsy barmaid' in the shows, to which Everett quipped that some 'prosthetics' could help.
"But they already do and somehow I don't see myself as a blowsy barmaid," she said.
"Darling, they can do wonders with prosthetics these days," Everett replied. (ANI)
