Since he has been raised in the Karol Bagh locality of Delhi, it was imperative that he brings out the finer aspect of the city that he knows most. As a result, for the fun number 'Lal Quila' in his Friday release TEREE SANG, he contributed a hugely for the rap portions in the song.

Laughs Satish Kaushik, "We were just discussing around how we could get that youthful fun element in 'Lal Quila', a song which is dedicated to the glory of Delhi. Youngsters have a certain way of looking at Delhi and being a Delhite myself, I have seen how older as well as newer generations have always been charmed by the city. There is a different air around Delhi, especially for two young hearts in love, and since my characters played by Ruslaan Mumtaz and Sheena Shahabadi are based out of Delhi, I couldn't resist picking up the pen."

The director though insisted that it was only Sameer's name that comes in the credit details.

"Arrey he is a senior and such a respected lyricist. I wrote some portions in 'Lal Quila' just for fun but how could I share any credits. That would have been so wrong. I share great personal and professional relationship with Sameer and such small things should not come in the way. Not that he would have minded had my name come along but there was no way I was allowing that to happen."

Incidentally 'Lal Quila' is one of the two songs by Anu Malik that have been retained in TEREE SANG. Otherwise Satish Kaushik had recorded as many as five songs by new finds Sachin and Jigar, all of which find a place in the film's narrative. Sung by Shaan and Anmol Malik, 'Laal Quila' has Anu Malik himself coming behind the mike for the song's rap portion.
