MADE IN CHINA is soon going to be rolling- not out of the factories of Guangzhou- but from India, the biggest producer of movies worldwide!

Starring India's top notch action-comedy star Akshay Kumar, the film is directed by Nikhil Advani for producers RSE and Orion Films. Keeping them company is supermodel turned actress Deepika Padukone, along with Chinese actors. The film has been written by Shridhar Raghavan (Khakee, Bluffmaster, Apaharan). This marks the first time any Indian crew has crossed the Great Wall!

From the hustle bustle of Mumbai bazaars to the hutongs of Beijing, the electric energy of Shanghai and sheer breathtaking Chinese landscapes, MADE IN CHINA chronicles the lunatic adventures of a hapless simpleton cook from Mumbai. As he goes to seek his destiny, he finds himself thrown into a crazy world of megalomaniac villains, femme fatales, crazy inventors, Chinese mysticism and outlandish kung fu assassins.

Nikhil Advani will be helming an action film for the first time. He has previously directed the hit drama-musicals KAL HO NA HO and SALAAM-E-ISHQ.

Ramesh Sippy's production company has in the recent past produced films such as BLUFFMASTER! and TAXI NO. 9211. Ramesh Sippy is the director of SHOLAY, one of India's biggest all-time blockbusters.

The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
