Wonder what it is about the burkha and our celebs. Mallika Sherawat wore one to dodge the media at Mumbai airport and then Himesh Reshammiya slipped into one as well when he went to the dargah at Ajmer Sharief. The latest to slip into one is none other Preity Zinta.
The actress wore one on Independence Day when she went into a Bandra cinema to see good friend Shah Rukh Khan's movie Chak De India. Preity could easily have gone to a multiplex but she wanted to judge the reaction of the masses by sitting among them. Hence, the burkha to avoid attention. Since she was in disguise, the actress could scream, whistle and cheer along with the audience. Naturally, she was at her buoyant best. Apparently, Preity was impressed by the film and SRK. She feels that this was his best performance till date.
