Bollywood made its presence felt in LA recently when the stars descended to attend a colourful extravaganza celebrating 60th years of Indian Independence. The event was hosted by a leading Indian businessman and got off to a rousing start with a screening of Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De India. But the cynosure of all eyes was Bollywood's newest couple, Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.
The couple seemed to still be on their honeymoon and looked every bit the lovey-dovey couple. The Abhi-Ash duo was there to attend a special screening of their film Guru along with director Mani Ratnam. Also making their presence felt were the Kapoors. The occasion was the screening of Bobby Bedi's documentary, Kehta Hai Joker, a tribute to the showman Raj Kapoor. The special tribute was attended by Rishi Kapoor accompanied by wife Neetu and son Ranbir Kapoor. Adding to the glamour was Katrina Kaif, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Shimit Amin and Bipasha Basu. The grand finale of the event was a sizzling performance by the actress.
