Nana Patekar took his penchant for perfection a little too far this time. Recently, during the shoot of Tigmanshu Dhulia's Shagird he was required to slap co-star Anurag Kashyap for a scene.

Well, gave an excellent shot. He slapped Anurag so hard that everyone was stunned. Anurag didn't know how to react. But what followed left everyone aghast. After executing the slap, Nana moved out from the shooting field and boasted about the slap. He is believed to have said, "Dekha kitna zor se maara, bahut shana samajhta hai apne aap ko." Of course Anurag confirmed the incident and laughed it off. Anurag is known to have praised Nana and has great respect for him. It is possible that Nana may have done it to make the scene look realistic but his comment afterwards was something else. It shocked all present on the occasion. Incidentally, Shagird is about a cop and his protege played by Mohit Ahlawat, with Anurag playing a gangster. While on Shagird, it is believed that Irrfan Khan is likely to opt out of the project as he is finding it difficult to accommodate his dates for the project.
