Director Sasi of Dishyum and Rojakootam fame who was to commence Im with Srikanth has shelved the project and is working currently in a film titled ‘Poo’.
Poo, as the name suggests, is a woman oriented film where heroine is given more importance than the hero. This film is said to have Sivakasi fireworks factories as the backdrop around which an interesting story is woven.
The very mention of fireworks factory may be suggestive of a film with documentary shade.
But Sasi promises that Poo will not be one and will peep into the lives of women working in such workshops, their gentle side and the beautiful pages of their life. There are many documentary films which have talked about the darker side of these workers. But Sasi’s attempt will definitely be a novel one as he has proved this in the past with his films like Sollamale, Dishyum and Roja Kootam. All the Best Sasi!
