It's been almost a year since Genelia D'Souza's last film, 'Jaane Tu… Yaa Jaane Na' released. But the film did more for Imraan Khan than it did for Genelia. Incidentally, this was not her first foray into Hindi films. She had made an attempt before, albeit unsuccessfully, with the film 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. But now the actress is again ready to take a crack at the box office with her next release 'Life Partner', this Friday.
Although Rumi Jaffrey's 'Life Partner' is more of a multi starrer with Govinda, Amrita Rao, Fardeen Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Prachi Desai also sharing the limelight with Genelia, the actress is quite cool about it as she has a prominent enough role to feel quite secure about herself. The actress may have had a slow beginning but she seems to be making up for lost time quite rapidly. She already has many more films in her kitty. She has a major film like Ken Ghosh's 'Yahoo' opposite Shahid Kapoor as her next big release after 'Life Partner'. She replaced Jiah Khan in the movie. Also in her kitty is David Dhawan's 'Hook Ya Crook', where she is cast opposite John Abraham. With four releases slated for this year, the going looks very good for the actress who had turned Southwards after the failure of her maiden Hind film. But with 'Jaane Tu..Ya Jaane Na' changing all of that, the actress is set to come back with a bang.
