Bhatts seem to be mighty excited about their films making it to Pakistan. After Awarapan, now they would be releasing yet another Emraan Hashmi starrer The Killer in Pakistan.

Says a breathess Raksha Mistry, co-director of the film, "I am still waiting for the feeling to sink in. Both The Killer and The Train directed by Hasnain and myself, are close to our hearts. Still, first baby is always something special. In this regard, I can't even describe my feelings. From the very moment Mr. Mukesh Bhatt confirmed the news to me, I have hardly been able to stay steady on the ground."

Hasnain Hyderabadwala adds, "It's an overwhelming feeling for sure. It was long due for Indian films to start making an impression at Pakistan theaters and we are proud that The Killer is being revived for screen there."

Though Bhatts have a vast repertoire of films in their kitty, isn't it an achievement by itself that after Awarapan they have chosen The Killer as the next film to be released there?

"We can only say that our faith in the project has been reinstated. It was unfortunate that the film couldn't create magic at the box office when released last year in India. Guess there was too much of competition around with films like Omkara, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Golmaal, Pirates etc. surrounding it from all ends", says the director duo in unison.

"Nevertheless, now we are hoping that the quirky comedy of Emraan and Irrfan Khan would find an audience for itself. See, the problem with The Killer was not that the people didn't like it. The problem was that not many went into the theaters to watch it. I can confidently say that this was the case because those who saw the film had good things to say about the film. I haven't come across any individual who disliked the film", Raksha says while recollecting the fate of her film which she loves to describe as a Tom & Jerry chase.

"Ultimately every film comes with its own destiny, otherwise who would have thought that after a year a film would be re-released and that too all the way in Pakistan. We are happy that the Bhatts found this project to befit their goal of bringing Bollywood films to Pakistan. We hope that the audience there are truly entertained and go home smiling once they see the film on the big screen", concludes Hasnain.

The film is being planned for an Eid release and there are also talks about the cast and crew attending the premier of the film. Also Raksha and Hasnain truly believe that Bhatts would be leaving no stones unturned to give it a mega release while preceding it with an extensive promotional campaign.
