This is to clarify reports appearing in certain sections of the press about the upcoming Hindi film DADDY COOL being a lift from the English film DEATH AT A FUNERAL.

DADDY COOL from the makers of comedy capers like MASTI...DHAMAAL, the duo Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria and (Maruti Pictures) have duly obtained permission from the producers of the English film (DEATH AT A FUNERAL) to produce and release the film DADDY COOL across the world.

BIG Pictures is releasing the film only after ascertaining the facts.

Set to release on August 28th, Directed by K. Murli Mohan Rao the film has an ensemble star cast that includes Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Javed Jaffrey, Aarti Chhabria, Ashish Chowdhry, Tulip Joshi, Kim Sharma, Sophie Choudry, Rajpal Yadav, Chunky Pandey and Prem Chopra.

DADDY COOL is a rib tickling comedy presented by BIG Pictures. It is produced by Maruti Pictures' Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar. The film is directed by K. Murli Mohan Rao, the veteran director from Hyderabad who has directed various films in Telugu and Hindi since 1983. Raghav Sachar has composed music for the film.
