London, Aug 24 (ANI): 'X factor' boss Simon Cowell has given Louis Walsh a piece of his mind after the latter criticized the Spice Girls.
The X Factor judge had called the band 'over-rated, talentless, past their sell-by-date and not very good looking'.
Cowell wants to have the reunited five on the first live episode of the reality series in October this year.
Now, after Walsh's verbal bashing of the Brit hit band, the entertainment mogul thinks that Walsh has 'blown the chance'.
A source said that Cowell read Walsh the riot act and asked him to keep his mouth shut.
"Simon was furious with Louis for slaughtering the Spice Girls. He really wants them to do a masterclass on one of the X Factor live shows and now fears Louis has blown it,' the Sun quoted the source, as saying.
"He gave him a bollocking and told him to keep his mouth shut. The Spice Girls are the biggest act in Britain right now."
"Their reunion tour is in hot demand so getting them on the X Factor would be a real coup and a ratings winner. The girls and their management company, 19, haven't said yes or no yet. Simon is going to have to do a lot more grovelling to make it happen." (ANI)
