Actress Namitha from Kollywood made her foray into Kannada movies with Neelakantha by Sai Prakash, starring Ravichandran in the lead and presenting her in a glamorous role. Namitha has now signed another Kannada film, Indra.
The movie starring Darshan in the lead is directed by H. Vasu. Darshan is playing a double role in the film which is being produced by R.B. Chaudhary and Kuppuswamy. Bangalore girl Shubra Aiyappa, who was supposed to play the female lead, backed out of the project due to date problems and has now been replaced by Namitha.
Reportedly, Shubra Aiyappa was given the role of a Brahmin girl in the film.
