It was a star-studded and laughter-filled evening at a hotel in Chennai when Radaan Mediaworks held the audio release function of their movie Kannaamoochi Enadaa. Starring Prithivraj, Sandya, Sathyaraj, Radikaa, Sreepriya and others, Kannaamoochi Enadaa looks like an interesting movie – a light-hearted yet meaningful family entertainer. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is superb for this movie, as everyone could hear, from the songs played during the launch. The function itself was very, very interesting. The hall was packed with people, scored of whom were celebrities from the movie industry. The highlight of the evening was easily actor Sathyaraj who gave a hilarious speech on his own movie career, how he has come to Kannaamoochi Enadaa and little quirks of the movie world today. The way he said that his very first movie was with Sreepriya more than 30 years ago and now, he’s back with her in a novel role; the way he laughed at how English as a language is becoming more alien to him when people come up to him and talk of his “chemistry” with Prithviraj – all this kept the audience glued to their seats and rolling their heads in laughter. At the end of the function, during a private dinner party, Sathyaraj thanked Galatta Cinema for an impressive write-up on him in the Star of the Month section of Galatta Cinema’s August 2007 issue. Such humility and courtesy is rare these days. Other celebrities present at the function included Prakash Raj, director Radhamohan, director Dharani, director K.S. Ravikumar, Manobala, Sreepriya, Abirami Ramanathan, Sathyarak, Suriya, Karthi, Kanihaa, Jayam Ravi, SPB Charan, Sandya, Poornima and Saranya Bhakyaraj, Bavatharani and of course, director Priya and her team. UTV, whom Radaan has a business relationship with was also represented by their director. Viveik Oberoi and Suresh Oberoi were special guests flown in from Mumbai.
