Though both Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have proved themselves to be great actors with a huge fan following, the two have never won a national award for the Best Actor category.
This year could prove to be lucky to one of the actors as both have been nominated for the best actor category.
While SRK has been nominated for his role in Chak De India, Aamir has been selected for playing the lead character in Taare Zameen Par.
The Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni is expected to announce the National Awards in the forthcoming week. The distribution ceremony will take place in Delhi where President Pratibha Patil will hand over the coveted award.
