Celebs, including Neil Nitin Mukesh, Amrita Rao, Sophie Chaudhary, Nandana Sen, Mandira Bedi, Sameera Reddy and many others shone as the showstoppers for various designers. Let's have a look at each of these celebs and know their experiences and views about the recently concluded KFW and the renowned designers.

Mandira Bedi - TV actress/ Anchor/ host

Gorgeous Mandira Bedi sashayed the ramp for Satya Paul's 'Resham and Zari' collection showcased on Day-4 of the Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. The actor chats up after the show.

This is the first time you walked the ramp in Kolkata?

Yes. I was actually very excited over my ramp walk here. Kolkata is my birthplace and to walk the ramp in a Satya Paul saree in Kolkata is all that I could ask for.

You have walked for Satya Paul earlier as well...

Yes. My friendship with Satya Paul goes back 5-6 years now. I have walked for him in Dubai, Delhi and now in Kolkata. But this time I was asked not to smile while cat walking. So I gave a serious, yet sensuous look.

What is there in a Satya Paul saree that appeals to you the most?

Satya Paul makes sarees the way no one in India can make...he is the best at it. They are treated differently and also the blouses are really unique.I myself own umpteenth number of Satya Paul sarees. Most sarees I wear during cricket commentaries are from the Satya Paul wardrobe. What better endorsement can it be that I weat his sarees on and off camera most of the times.

Are you picking anything from his 'Reshan and Zari' collection?

Actually most of it (smiles).

What do you love wearing in a day-to-day basis?

Sarees are my favourite garment. I love salwar kameez as well.

Amrita Rao - Bollywood actress

Gorgeous actor Amrita Rao walked the ramp for ace designer Manish Malhotra's bridal collection at Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. The SHORT KUT actress in a Quick-5 with our correspondent.

This is your first show in Kolkata?

Yes...and walking the ramp for the first time in Kolkata, wearing a traditional outfit, and that too designed by Manish Malhotra...this couldn't be better.

What goes behind your recent glamorous makeover?

The credit goes to Manish (Malhotra). He worked at my looks for my film 'Short Kut' and the results are so positive that it's hard to shun it now. In fact, Manish is responsible for changing fashion in Bollywood. Not only me, but there are several other actors who owe their style statement to him. Manish changed the face of Bollywood and is still doing so.

Since you are wearing a bridal outfit, let's ask, what will you prefer to wear when you get married?

Oh my God! Marriage is not at all on the cards at the moment. But when I get married, I would prefer to wear something like I am wearing right now...a traditional yet modern outfit with halters and sequins.

Who do you think looked best among the showstoppers -Baichung Bhutia or Ronit Roy?

I think it's Manish Malhotra...(giggles).

What do your prefer wearing off the camera?

I am a casual person...I know that's what everyone says, But then, that's a fact. We too like letting it loose at home or when with friends just like you all.

Ronit Bose Roy - TV actor

For the first time ever, actor Ronit Bose Roy walked the ramp and that too for Manish Malhotra at the Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. He gets into a Quick-5 with our correspondent

How's it like walking the ramp for Manish Malhotra?

It is one of the greatest moments of my life. First, because I debuted on the ramp at this age with so much weight, second, because I know Manish since he was a model. So it has been a long association and it was an absolute privilege.

And, what about debuting on the ramps in Kolkata?

Of course, how can I forget that! I like walking, talking, eating, drinking...everything in Kolkata.

You are wearing a textured sherwani...now-a-days, you seem to have become synonymous to traditional Indian man...

Thanks for the compliment. But you should give the credit to the characters I play in the television serials that has made me wear dhotis and kurtas all the time, and Manish who made such an unique outfit for me.

Do you enjoy wearing traditional clothes?

Yes, very much...I am a true blue Indian.

What's your style statement?

Not to stick to a particular style but to keep on experimenting, but sensibly. I won't go for a look that doesn't go with my personality just because that's in fashion.

Neil Nitin Mukesh - Bollywood's young sensation

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh set the ramp on fire in a black-gold short jacket sherwani for designer Narendra Kumar on Day-5 of the Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. Our correspondent chats up the actor after the show

What is it like walking the ramp in Kolkata?

This is the first time I am walking the ramp in Kolkata. Everyone says 'I was nervous'; I would like to differ. I was very confident, especially because Narendra Kumar made such good clothes for me!

Are you going to keep this sherwani?

No...I am going to steal it (laughs)... Narendra has no choice. I can pick anything from his collection anytime. He is not just a designer to me, who helped me with my image and the style statement I carry, but he is an elder brother to me and I am honoured to be able to show stop for him at KFW II.

What's your style statement?

I always keep it simple, smart and stylish. Narendra always says that whenever he sees me he finds me very clean...not fussy, but classy.

Who do you think is a style icon in Bollywood?

There are so many of them. But I think John (Abraham) and Bipasha (Basu) really hot and classy.

Narendra Kumar does most of your clothes in your films. Do you have any other favourite designer?

No...Narendra Kumar is the best and he rocks!

You seem very selective about your work...be it acting or singing or modelling...

Not at all...I go by my heart...'har kaam dimag se kam, dil se karte hai' .

Rimi Sen - Bollywood actress

Actor Rimi Sen sizzled the ramp in a traditional Rajasthan Saree for designer Anita Dongre's colection 'Timeless' on Day-5 of the Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. The actor gets into a quick five with our correspondent.

This is the first time you walked the ramp...

Yes. I was so nervous! Even Anita (Dongre) didn't know that I am a novice on the ramp. I told her that she has to guide me with all small and big details of ramp-walking. But now I feel much relaxed...the way the guests cheered for me was an assurance that I have succeeded.

Given a chance, will you walk the ramp again?

Why not? It's just the beginning...I have just started enjoying it after the initial phase of nervousness is over (smiles).

You walked the ramp in a traditional Jaipur saree. Are you comfortable?

Thik hai (it's all right). Actually I am not at all a traditional wear person. I wear only jeans and T-shirt.

Being a Bengali, with the festive season round the corner (Durga Puja), what are the preparations you are making?

Not really. As I told you, I am a strictly jeans and Tee person, so even during Durga Puja I will go around in that casual wear only.

Now that you have got a feel of traditional wear (saree) off camera, what do you plan to wear on your wedding?

I don't know...marriage is not happening in near future. (Pauses) Perhaps I will get married in jeans and a T-shirt (laughs).

Irrfan Khan - Actor

Actor Irrfan Khan rocked the ramp at Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II Sunday as showstopper for designer Abhishek Dutta's 'Tomorrowland'. The actor in a chit-chat with our correspondent.

How do you feel after walking the ramp for the first time in Kolkata?

I love the trousers...the T-shirt (though I generally don't wear T-shirts)...the orange scarf and the jacket. The combination looks very sleek and international. When Abhishek (Dutta) mailed me the pictures, I was a bit apprehensive and after wearing them on the ramp, I feel completely different! I am liking it...I am really enjoying standing in front of you wearing this (smiles). But I felt a little shy of all the cheering that was going on when I walked down the ramp.

What is your style statement?

It depends on the occasion. I generally wear normal clothes...nothing extraordinary. I consider comfort first and then style. I believe that comfort should create style not the other way round.

Now that you are an international star, do you travel with your hairstylist and fashion designer all the time?

I don't have much hair for keeping a hairstylist (pointing to his neatly cropped hairdo)...I need hairstylists only occasionally; and I also don't have a particular fashion designer or stylist. But my make-up man travels with me.

Did you ever think of walking the ramp when you started with films?

Not at all...and by the way, there were no ramps when I first started with my profession.

What do you like to see a woman in?

That depends on how she carries an outfit. Indian women look best in sarees. But now-a-days, girls can carry Indo-western clothes quite well.

Baichung Bhutia - Football player

Ace footballer Baichung Bhutia rocked the ramp in a purple-gold textured sherwani for fashion guru Manish Malhotra at the finale of Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. The 'Master of the Ground' in a Quick-5 with our correspondent.

Were you nervous while walking the ramp for Manish?

Not exactly. But this time, I realized that rampwalk is difficult...it's not as easy as it looks. There is no second chance...just like in football...one opportunity...you succeed or you don't.

It's not that we always see you in a traditional wear...

Yes...but Manish has made such a wonderful outfit that I was literally tempted to wear it.

What do you generally prefer to wear?

I don't always go for designer wears; instead, try to keep it simple. Occasionally, I do give some extra effort to the way I look...who doesn't want to look good!

We have seen you play football, endorse products, dance at reality show, and now this rampwalk. Is there a new avtaar in store?

(Laughs) Believe me, I don't plan anything...everything comes my way...I just choose and accept. If I get a chance to show a new avtaar, then I must be open to it...we have only one life.

Fashion is getting synonymous to sports, especially cricket, football and badminton. Comment.

I think we are all here to entertain people some way or the other. And fashion plays a vital role in show business. And as I said just now...everyone wants to look good...stand out from others.
