In 200 centres for 500 days, in 100 centres for 100 days, in 40 centres for 150 days - this is the feat for the Telugu film starring Dr. Rajasekar.
After the coffers filled in Andhra, the film will be released in Tamil as 'Udambu Eppadi Irukku.' There are many changes done to the Tamil version from the Telugu version. The film is to be released all over Tamilnadu on Sept 7. The Rajasekhars have come to Chennai for that and met the press.
In my film 'Idhuthaandaa Police," I showed how a police officer should be. Likewise, in 'Udambu Eppadi Irukku' I have showed how a politician should be. The Telugu version did very well, created a record and was appreciated by the politicians themselves.
It is said this is the copy of Malayalam film 'Lion'? No. There's no connection between that film and mine. I wrote the story and screenplay for this. My younger brother Selva has written the dialogues for the Tamil version. My wife Jeevitha has directed it. We will release the film as planned.
What's the message conveyed in 'Udambu Eppadi Irukku'? When a student completes studies and asked what he/she wants to take as career, the answer is invariably doctor, engineer and so on. No one says anything about becoming a politician and doing good for the country. They are afraid if they say they want to become politicians, they would be looked down upon. In my film I show that if one wants a good govt, one must enter politics.
Do you have an intention of really entering politics? I have no such thought till now. There's the fear that family happiness will be affected if one enters politics, but if a necessity does come about, then I will not hesitate.
Rajasekar, get your party ready and a name too. This is what Vijayakanth had also said once!
