This movie was remade in Tamil titled Gajini by Murugadoss and Surya was seen with tattoos all over his body. And the movie became a huge commercial hit. Gajini is now being remade in Hindi and everyone is aware of the fact that Aamir Khan will also adorn himself with tattoos.

Now another top hero in Bollywood has shaved the hairs off his body to be tattooed. The hero is none other than Anil Kapoor for the Yashraj film Tashan. In this movie, Anil will be playing a baddie. Whether Tashan is another version of Memento is to be seen. Till then long live the tattoo fever.
