The season of remakes is catching up like wildfire. The success of Naan Avan Illai and other movies has led to a near scramble for the remake rights.
Added to this is the remake of Billa, in which Ajith stars. Looks like Rajinikanth’s movies are the most favourite when it comes to remakes.
Moondru Mugam, another famous Rajini-starrer, will also find its way to this list very soon. This movie was originally produced by RM. Veerappan’s Sathya Movies and directed by A. Jagannathan. Kathiresan, producer of Polladhavan, has now procured the remake rights, sources say.
Talks are on to finalise the star cast, more particularly the male lead, as it is a triple action role. Fans may recall that the Alex Pandian, role played by Rajini, was the talk of the town at those times. It would really be interesting to see who bags this role now.
