Percept Picture Company, announced the 'India for Peace' Concert, a Percept initiative supported by The Indian Television Academy (ITA) and STAR Plus, in memory of the dastardly terrorist attacks of 26/11 in India that appalled not just the nation but the World.Pledging for harmony, the 'India for Peace' Concert will be a LIVE concert held in Mumbai. The 'India for Peace' Concert will showcase performances from the creme de la creme of the Indian Entertainment industry, including stars from Bollywood, Television and the Indian Music industry. This concert aims to spread the message of peace, harmony and goodwill through the platform of Entertainment.
Many celebrities from Bollywood and the Television industry attested their support for the concert by attending the press conference held. The conference was attended by Dia Mirza, Sanjay Gupta, Yukta Mookhey, Rohit Roy, Sudhanshu Pandey, Suresh Menon, Roshni Chopra and Rupali Ganguly, to name a few.
Said Mr. Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Limited, ''Global peace and harmony is the need of the hour. Internationally, countries support initiative such as 'LIVE Earth' and 'LIVE 8' and use the platform of entertainment to send this message to the entire world. 'India for Peace' will be India's first large global initiative to spread the message of global peace through the means of Entertainment.''
Shashi Ranjan, Convenor, Indian Television Academy, added, ''In this initiative, we enjoy the implicit trust and goodwill of the entire Entertainment fraternity, be it Films, Television or Music. Some of the biggest names from the industry will be involved in this collaborative effort to raise mass awareness for the necessity and importance of global peace and harmony. We have also received overwhelming support from the Corporate and Sports fraternity.''
Commenting on the association, Anupama Mandloi, Senior Creative Director, STAR Plus, said, ''The memories of 26/11 remain seared in our minds.
