Chandramukhi is one of the biggest movies ever in south Indian history, so was the Malayalam original 'Manachitrathazhu' which was a big hit and also brought two national awards, then came the Kannada remake Apta Mitra which re-wrote history and due to its supreme success the director of Apta Mitra, P.Vasu remade the movie in Tamil with the Superstar Rajinikanth, Prabhu and Jyothika.
The movie has crossed more than 800 days, went on to become the longest running Tamil movie in history and the movie is still running in a Chennai theatre. If that's not all the dubbed Telugu version was also released and that too went on to become a major hit.
Seeing all this it is only natural that the movie be remade in Hindi. The movie is directed by South Indian director Priyadarshan, who is now the hottest director in Bollywood.
And Priyadarshan has trusted his regular hero Akshay Kumar to don the role of a Psychiatrist which has been portrayed previously by Malayalam giant Mohanlal, Kannada star Vishnuvardhan and the Tamil superstar Rajnikanth. The one who is going to dance for the raa raa song will be Vidya Balan. Click below to check its trailer. There certainly seems to be a bit more of spooky business this time round.
