Sydney, August 29 (ANI): A scandalous side of veteran actor Clark Gable has been exposed in a sex-obsessed biography.
Author David Bret has claimed that the 'Gone with the Wind' legend fashioned a macho-stud demeanour and enjoyed physical relationships with gays and lesbians.
Tagging most of the people in Gable's social circle as gay or bisexual, Bret alleges that during early career days, the actor was "gay for pay" so as to advance his career.
Bret further asserts that Gable squired older women, some of them perhaps secret lesbians, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
The actor, reputed for being a serial seducer of women, had close personal, possibly sexual relationships with a number of openly gay men.
Bret's book, however, is unclear in its sourcing, for he mostly uses phrases like "it could be" and "it was alleged," when talking about Gable's sexuality.
Bret has given a totally sexual characteristic to the biography, which sees no mention of the star's films and acting. (ANI)
