Harman Baweja must be literally praying for lady Luck to finally smile on him. His much touted debut movie flopped big time, but he managed to still sign on a couple of films, one of them being an Ashutosh Gowariker movie. But that does not seem to have helped boost the actor's fledgling career in Hindi films. 'What's Your Raashee?' is nowhere in the class of a 'Lagaan', or a 'Jodha Akbar'. It may have Priyanka Chopra playing 12 different characters but it hasn't exactly captured the minds of the cinema going public.
Hence that brings Harman back to square one. He still needs a hit desperately. He has worked in three films so far 'Love Story 2050', 'Victory' and 'What's Your Raashee?', neither of which have clicked at the box office. Of course! the actor has yet another chance in the form of Anees Bazmee's 'It's My Life', where he is cast opposite Genelia D'Souza. This movie is supposed to be an out and out entertainer and Harman will definitely have pinned his hopes on this movie. If reports are to be believed, then the actor and his father Harry Baweja will be making another film, this time, an action drama, in a bid to try something new which may just click at the box office. He has already dabbled in romance, hence it is time to do something new. However, the film is still in the scripting stage right now. But Dad may just have the answer to unlock Harman's good fortune. Of course! it is not new for a young actor to begin his career with a series of flops and then go on to become a big name. Big B did and so did his son Abhishek. Shahid Kapur is another instance of it. It took a 'Jab We Met' to really propel his career upwards. So who knows, Baweja's next may be the defining film in Harman's career.
