Chennai High court has slapped an interim ban on the release of Vikram, Trisha starrer Bheema directed by Lingusamy and produced by A M Rathnam.
This follows a case filed by financier Madhesh against the producer who has failed to return the money that was loaned to him.
According to his complaint, A M Rathnam, a year ago, had borrowed 25 lakhs to produce the film Bheema which he had not returned in time and hence the financier had filed a case against him and the court had issued ban orders on the release of the film. Subsequently Rathnam had filed a case to lift the ban on Bheema which went in favor of him.
But till date, he had not returned the money to Madhesh which led him to file a case in the court seeking ban on the release of the film. After hearing the case the judges have issued an interim ban on the release of Bheema in Tamil and Telugu and have adjourned further hearing on this case to Monday. The court has also ordered A M Rathnam to file his reply on Monday.
