Washington, Aug 30 (ANI): Britney Spears could be making her comeback earlier than expected, with rumours circulating that her new single could be out as early as next week.
However, the two songs leaked on the net a few days ago are not tracks on her comeback album.
According to EW.com, the single that will hopefully get her back on the music charts is "Gimme More" from her long-gestating fifth studio album, reports E!Online.
Described as "an uptempo club cut" and "funky", the song has been produced by Timbaland protege Nate "Danjahandz" Hills, who has scored hits for the likes of Justin Timberlake and T.I.
But there's no word as yet on whether or not any of singer Ne-Yo's songs that he says he penned for Britney will be on her album.
He told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show that he had given Britney first choice on the tracks "before she shaved her head and went into rehab again", but there was no response from her side.
"When that happened, I lost all contact with her A and R people, with her label. I was like, I guess they weren't interested no more," he said.
He also had a piece of advice for the troubled singer.
"She gotta remind people why they loved her in the first place. She's got to get people's mind off their personal life and get their mind back on the music," he said. (ANI)
