Ravi Chopra whose forte until now has always been emotional tear-jerkers and family melodramas is venturing into a new genre and hence he is playing safe and allowing himself to be "inspired" by the Hollywood film My Cousin Vinny. Chopra's film will star Govinda and Lara Dutt (incidentally looks like these two seem to have a thing for "inspired" comedies considering both of them also starred in Partner which was a copy of Hitch). However, one fails to understand how Ravi's search for an actress to play a "sexy" lawyer led him to Tabu! Seems that his three initial choices, Malika Sherwat, Bipasha Basu and Sushmita Sen, all turned down his offer and Tabu is looking to break her image of being a serious actor and hence she was the only one willing to accept the role, considering its short length.
