After a hiatus from the action genre, Akki is back to his Khiladi ways, as he has been signed on for Warner Bros first Hindi production in collaboration with Ramesh Sippy and being directed by Nikhil Advani. The film, which is titled Made in China, will combine both of Akshay strengths in that he will get to show case his martial arts skills while also getting to display his flair for comedy. Akki will be seen playing Sidhu, a Mumbai cook who in China is mistaken for a Martial arts hero and will have him paired opposite Deepika Padukone who seems to be riding high even before the release of her first film, Om Shanti Om. Rumour has it that she has already signed Yash Raj Films' project to be directed by Siddharth Anand in which she will be one of the leading ladies opposite real life beau Ranbir Kapoor, and so Made in China will be her third film. Made in China, which has been written by Shridar Raghavan who has earlier written Khakee and Bluffmaster, has music scored by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and will take off in January of next year and will be the first Hindi film to be shot extensively in China.
