Bharatiraja's film 'Bommalattam' releasing after a long gap has created a lot of expectations. Bharatiraja himself is eagerly awaiting the tremours it is going to cause.

Bharatiraja has always considered Balachander as his mentor. He has been claiming ceaselessly that he came into films only after watching Balachander's films. Similarly the other star he respects is Kamal Hassan.

Bharatiraja had a private show of his film 'Bommalattam' to both of them.

Starring Nana Patekar, Arjun and Kajal Agarwal, this film is a crime thriller. As the story suited Hindi, Bharatiraja has produced it in that language. It is being released as 'Bommalattam' in Tamil.

After watching the film both Balachander and Kamal congratulated Bharatiraja. They felt that this film is going to have an effect like that of 'Sivappu rojakkal'.

It is to be mentioned that Nana Patekar has spoken Tamil in his own voice for this film.
